- I have been involved in the purchase and distribution of about 150 Dell 486
- machines in the last six months, with another 100 or so in the next six.
- The machines have been put on LANS, with Dells for servers.
-
- We have had two bad monitors and one bad hard disk. All replaced
- within 48 hours, usually next day.
-
- We had a bunch of bad portables. Of the forty we ordered, 6 eventually
- needed to be replaced. The power supplies kept failing (one or two of
- these may have been users plugging in the wrong AC adapter). All were
- replaced within 48 hours, usually next day.
-
- Dell's prices are VERY competitive with Gateway's. Overall, I couldn't be
- happier.
