- I tried every possible combination, but that was not the problem. When I
- remove QEMM 6.02 and use MS emm386.exe everything runs properly. Then, I
- put qemm back and exclude a000-c7ff but no luck. Today, my new EPS 486-50DX
- finally arrived and I moved the DSS24X to the new machine. Guess what happened?
- The card works great with emm386.exe. When switch back to qemm, windows 3.1
- behaved badly. So, I changed the win vga driver. The paradise 800x600x256
- driver works ( well, partially.). So I was able to run windows and have
- found that if I remove the SoundBlaster(1.0) and the sound driver, then
- QEMM can be used and DSS24X drivers WORKS GREAT. The WinTach for 1024x768
- x256 is 17.91/C8. WOW!! Now, I can use a windows editor, and the screen
- scroll like DOS editor on my old machine. Yes, with a DSS24X and a 486, you
- can use a windows editor!
