  13. I am replacing the old memory in my system with larger capacity SIMMs, and
  14. I've hit a problem.

  16. The new SIMMs don't work.

  18. I noticed that one of the old SIMMs is different than the others.  Is a
  19. special type needed for low memory on a PC?  If not, I assume the other
  20. possibilities are that I didn't settle the SIMMs properly or they don't work.

  22. How should I best test the new memory if I can get it to work?  Are
  23. there programs available to do this?
