  14. Seems like offices are full of 386SXs (as I am facing a similar problem).

  16. Memory is certainly Windows' best friend! At $30/Meg, it is probably the
  17. best cost-beneficial solution. Setting up Smartdrv and ramdisk will definitely
  18. improve performance.

  20. I am also considering a co-processor. But can someone give a comparative
  21. analysis bewteen a Cyrix, IIT, and Intel as far as improvement for Windows 3.1?
  22. (i.e. speed gain due to improved font handling and graphics only)

  24. Changing display is probably counter productive unless your application 
  25. requires VGA/SVGA - then using monochrome VGA/SVGA will probably be the
  26. way to go (for $$sake).
