- Seems like offices are full of 386SXs (as I am facing a similar problem).
-
- Memory is certainly Windows' best friend! At $30/Meg, it is probably the
- best cost-beneficial solution. Setting up Smartdrv and ramdisk will definitely
- improve performance.
-
- I am also considering a co-processor. But can someone give a comparative
- analysis bewteen a Cyrix, IIT, and Intel as far as improvement for Windows 3.1?
- (i.e. speed gain due to improved font handling and graphics only)
-
- Changing display is probably counter productive unless your application
- requires VGA/SVGA - then using monochrome VGA/SVGA will probably be the
- way to go (for $$sake).
-
- Good luck!
