- I have a friend who, not having a notebook computer, needs some sort of
- handheld portable data entry device. The idea is to carry it around and
- enter inventory, text and numeric values. Later he would take the unit
- back to the desk-top pc and download data through an infra-red link or
- through the serial port.

- It would also be great if the device could accept data both by manual keypad
- entry and by bar-code input.
