  14. I have a friend who, not having a notebook computer, needs some sort of
  15. handheld portable data entry device.  The idea is to carry it around and
  16. enter inventory, text and numeric values.  Later he would take the unit
  17. back to the desk-top pc and download data through an infra-red link or 
  18. through the serial port.

  20. It would also be great if the device could accept data both by manual keypad
  21. entry and by bar-code input.
