  28. Er...I hate to state the obvious, but are you sure the screen contrast
  29. wasn't just set higher on the HP48S than on the HP48SX?
  30.  
  31. The screen contrast is adjustable by pressing [ON] and [+] at the same time
  32. to increase contrast, or [ON] and [-] at the same time to decrease contrast.
