  12. I have an HP-730 series (Snake) machine with the appolo type keyboard.
  13. I am trying to use certain X applications which need the Alt key. I
  14. tried to configure the application to use the Extend key insead, however
  15. the Extend key looks like is sending the ISO character set, i.e. 
  16. Extend-A puts \xE5 in my file.
  17.  
  18. What can I do to turn this thing OFF. I really do not care much about the 
  19. ISO character set, however would like to use my applications which use the
  20. Alt key combinations.

  22. How would the above scenario get affected on an HP-101 keyboard. I would 
  23. prefer to get it resolved on the Appolo keyboards.
