-
- I have had success using xwd to create dumps of starbase windows.
- The key word hear is "window". If you have a display system which
- supports multiple visuals (CRX24(Z), TVRX, PVRX,...) and associated
- colormaps, xwd is not very good at understanding that some windows are
- not made of the same stuff (visual and/or colormap) as the root window.
-
- Read "not very good" as "No Way".
-
- The only way around this is to dump just the window with the starbase
- output (and the odd visual/colormap). The easiest way to do this is to
- just invoke "xwd" and use the interactive point and click to select the
- window. The next interesting question will be if your xwd2ps can handle
- 24 bit DirectColor visuals :-(.
-
- I haven't tried this, so good luck.
