- Nope, I just copied verbatim from a (possibly out-of-date) manual :-).
-
- : At least for us (HP710's w/HP-uX8.07 and B.03.00 X-server tape), the above
- : did not work - I had to leave the .0 off - i.e.
- : xterm1:0) startup=/usr/lib/X11/xdm/sys.xsession;;
- :
- : I tracked this down through the maze of startup files that are invoked;
- : but can't remember how I figured it out. Despite this minor error, let
- : me say that the overall documentation and setup of the HP X-terms is great!
- :
- : Also, has enyone noticed that the initial clock (when running xdm) comes
- : up in Eastern time. I believe this is because /etc/src/src.{c}sh is not
- : executed, and so the time zone is not set. I got around this by adding
- : a TZ=MST7MDT; export TZ in /usr/lib/X11/xdm/sys.xsession near the top.
-
- I'll look into these defects; thanks for reporting them.
-
- : P.S. Tony: Can you give us any hints when local window manager/client
- : capability will be added to the 700/RX's?
-
- They will be in the next software release; I'm afraid I can't be more specific
- about the release date or contents. As a matter of fact, I'm using a local
- window manager right now and really like it, compared to what I used to use
- ('mwm').
