- Are there serial cards available for the 300's which support
- speeds greater than 19.2K, as well as RTS/CTS flow control?
- I'd like to connect at least three WorldBlazer modems at our
- local site, and one at each remote site, and be able to see
- reliable transfers at speeds greater than 19200 bps.
-
- Using the builtin serial port is possibly an option for our remote
- sites, as they will only need one modem, but a solution which did not
- use this port would be preferred. Also, the main serial port isn't
- enough for the local site, as it will need three or four modems.
- [Related question: what is the maximum speed of the builtin port?]
-
- Our current 8-port serial MUX supports a max speed of 19200 bps, and
- has no hardware flow control. It works ok *most* of the time, but
- UUCP transfers do occassionaly experience errors, which as far as I
- can tell are caused by characters being dropped.
-
- Any suggestions will be appreciated. (And yes, I know I can do this
- better with a 700 series machine. That is unfortunately not an option
- at this time.)
