  12. Has anyone ever experienced any troubles using a fifo as an X input
  13. device? The environment is a 425 workstation, clustered to a 433
  14. server. The fifo belongs to the workstation, but is physically
  15. located on the server.

  17. We added the fifo as an X input with XtAddInput, and it appears that
  18. every call to XtNextEvent attempts to read this fifo whether or not
  19. there is any data in the fifo to read. This has an adverse affect on
  20. the performance of the process.
