  23. We here at MCS have virtually the same problem, but not the same story.  At
  24. one time, via contract I believe, when HP upgraded the OS, so did we, then 
  25. that was removed from the contract.  Evidently it was too costly to upgrade
  26. the entire US Army (my guess, that's not official).  MCS is up for recompete
  27. and if a different platform is used vice HP, say IBM or SUN [cough, cough,
  28. gag, gag : ) ] Then the money spent on upgrading the OS was wasted since the
  29. software is now being ported to a new platform.  HP has been extremely
  30. helpful with any OS problems.  For how much longer, I don't know.  I am told
  31. they will only support back two versions of OS.  For the 9000/300 series, 7.0
  32. is it.
