- I don't have direct experience with PSION link but use DV a lot. I also
- have a seiko label printer (slp) that is on com4. Here are some ideas
- that may or may not help:
- If you haven't already- disable all the slp TSR stuff, the address
- grabber and the main program.
- DV is a little hinky about serial ports in general. In the options,
- tell it only which serial port is being used (don't answer yes). If some
- one is using com4, tell dv it uses com2.
- Try dispabling multitasking for the psion, ie turn off runs in
- background and allows others to run in background.
- Allocate more memory to the window- one thing I've seen is programs
- that dynamically allocate ram can crash dv after starting.
- Update DV, I have found v2.4 to be more stable in general.
- One last trick that works for me often is to run problem programs in
- the big dos window only when I need tem. I have a path setup to some
- batch files that run little quirky programs and the window closes on
- exit.
- Good luck- you may try Quarterdeck Tech Support, they were very
- helpful to me on a very quirky Windows with QEMM problem I was having.
