- I was under the inpression that the users of Alpha porting machines
- had to sign agreements that they would _not_ run any benchmarks, as the
- machines that were being shipped were not representitive of the final
- configuration. Things such as compilers & microcode being optimised for
- ease of debugging, the OS & libraries built with debug, etc, etc.
- Human nature being what it is, I'd expect that your benchmarks come
- from such a machine. Would you care to post the details, i.e. where and
- who they come from and what tests were run?
