  13.  I am looking for a manual describing the CPU and peripheral interfaces which
  14. are built in to the CPU board for the VAX 4000 VLC. No one at DEC has been
  15. able to help me; the manual does not ship with the VAXstation, nor is it in
  16. the VAX 4000 VLC owner's guide.

  18. There is an analogous manual for all other DEC CPUs (e g, EK-KA630 for the
  19. MicroVAX II). The manual must exist, because otherwise the system programmers
  20. could not have written the ROM code and lower-level OS functions.

  22. The manual should describe the subsetting of the VAX architecture, the
  23. machine-specific traps and exceptions, processor registers, and built-in
  24. Ethernet and SCSI interfaces. It should also describe the firmware, behavior
  25. on power-up, memory interface and map.

  27. Anyone know how to get this manual, or who at DEC might know?
