- Greetings,
-
- I have a user who is porting an application from NOS/VE to Unix (specifically,
- IRIX (SGI)).
-
- He would like to be able manipulate the linking of his program on Unix as he
- is able to under NOS. Specifically, he would like to be able to tell the
- linker to satisfy unresolved symbol 'x' with symbol 'y'. This is being done in
- FORTRAN. He has a subroutine reference that he wants to override, so to speak,
- with the subroutine of his choice.
-
- Has anyone dealt with this aspect of porting before? Or is this a reason to
- stay with NOS and CDC? :-).
-
- I tried comp.sys.sgi, and got no response at all.
-
- Many thanks for your trouble.
-
- Jim
