  11. Mike Van Pelt, you asked about a stronger pwr supply for the C=64.  If you
  12. check the specs on the pwr supply that comes with the 1764 reu, you will
  13. see that it is a C=128 unit with a C=64 end connector.

  15. The stock C=64 supply trys to put out 1.7 amps, while the C=128/1764 unit
  16. easily supplies over 4 amps!!  The C=128/1764 pwr supply is repairable, and
  17. has an accessable fuse, as opposed to the stock C=64 unit being epoxy
  18. encapsulated... yes, it DOES have a fuse inside all that epoxy, but I defy
  19. you or anyone else to change it, let alone find it.

  21. The HD C=128/1764 pwr supply is available to you if you buy a 1764 reu, or
  22. if you buy one from Software Support Intrnational.  They buy 1764 reu's,
  23. add the 8 missing dram chips, and sell the result as a "1750 clone" for
  24. about $149 or 199, and the heavy duty pwr supply for $39.95.  Run was
  25. selling the 1764's for $89 a while back, and that price included the HD pwr
  26. supply.  Don't waste your money on the so called "HD pwr supplies" being
  27. sold by others because they MIGHT put out 2 amps, and they cost the same,
  28. or more than the stock reu unit.
