  11. Having been spoilt by the Korn Shell on my 3b1, I felt quite
  12. lost without it on my newly acquired 3b2 so I thought the
  13. clone RC shell would come in handy.

  15. Now the Korn Shell and the RC shell are worlds apart, but both
  16. do a wonderful job of addressing the problems they set out to
  17. solve. I personally find the orthogonality of the RC shell
  18. quite elegant.

  20. Anyway, as you probably know, the clone sources are ANSI C,
  21. and at least on my machine this is a no-no. Between
  22. 'unprotoize' from the GCC distribution on a totally different
  23. computer and a considerable amount of manual hacking, I
  24. produced sources that generate a workable shell. If there is
  25. any interest I'll mail these off, enough interest and I'll
  26. post them, very much as is, though.

  28. In passing, I had to hack a rather extraordinary version of
  29. dup2(). I will not accept criticism, but I'd be curious to
  30. know what a proper implementation should look like.
