  31. Here's the deal. We just had this problem here and I THINK we have just fixed
  32. it. I am pretty sure that you have a mixed bag of servers on this network. If
  33. you have 3.4 (or higher) servers, they have an option called "Name service
  34. translation" to allow older servers to talk to the newer ones. The catch is
  35. that ONLY ONE!!!!!!!!!!  server should be doing name service translation.
  36. Otherwise, on of the servers doing the translation will grab that name and
  37. not let it go. The reason the listener is failing is that one of the
  38. translators already has that name occupied, your server can not restart with
  39. that name since it is already taken. Needless to say, the above error message
  40. leaves a great deal to be desired. Hopefully this will solve your problem.
