- Here's the deal. We just had this problem here and I THINK we have just fixed
- it. I am pretty sure that you have a mixed bag of servers on this network. If
- you have 3.4 (or higher) servers, they have an option called "Name service
- translation" to allow older servers to talk to the newer ones. The catch is
- that ONLY ONE!!!!!!!!!! server should be doing name service translation.
- Otherwise, on of the servers doing the translation will grab that name and
- not let it go. The reason the listener is failing is that one of the
- translators already has that name occupied, your server can not restart with
- that name since it is already taken. Needless to say, the above error message
- leaves a great deal to be desired. Hopefully this will solve your problem.
