  14.      A customer who is decommissioning a 3B15 and I were talking
  15. about what to do with the machine, and we had a silly thought:
  16. why not mount his 3B2/500 inside the cabinet and try to make use
  17. of the 1600bpi tape drive and 340MB SMD drives?  It actually
  18. began to make some sense (well, at least the tape drive part
  19. because he needs one), and we wondering how possible this is.

  21.      My two specific questions are:

  23. [*]    Does the 3B15 tape drive use a Pertec interface?
  24.  
  25. [*]    The drives are big Control Data (please do not use the
  26.     "S" word) 340MB drives with SMD interfaces, does anybody
  27.     make a SCSI to SMD controller?

  29.      Has anybody done either of these thing?
