- I have a MegaSTe with the standard Seagate 157N and got a conner 3040a
- 40 meg drive to add to this. I have a 2 way SCSI cable and power is no
- problem. At first I simply replaced the Seagate with the conner and
- powered it up. It found it at ID 0 and allowed a forat. However, I cannot
- figure out how to get either the Seagate or the Conner 3040a out of
- SCSI 0 so that the both can be online at once. The Conner which is last
- in the chain has its terminators in and the Seagate never had them in.
- I have tried the jumpers on the back of the Seagate no no apparent affect.
- The conner has jumpers on the back and also some labled e1-e4 underneath,
- and I must have the e4 jumper in to allow it to be formatted (wonder why?).
- Do I have to do something with DIP switches in the MSTe to get another
- ID available? (I am using AHDI 5.0) Anyone have exactly which jumpers should
- be set on the Seagate or Conner to change the ID number?
- Any help greatly appreciated!
