- 1st: You will need to have a host adapter to translate the ST's ACSI into
- SCSI. Supra, ICD and others? are manufacturers of such a board. ICD seems to
- support the widest variety of hard disk mechanisms.
-
- 2nd: You will need to have a SCSI to RLL or SCSI to MFM controller. Omti and
- Adaptec were manufacturing these, but I don't know for sure if either of them
- made a controller to work with your drive. Omti at least is no longer
- manufacturing these and I don't know about adaptec. If you really are
- insistent on this you might want to contact ICD at (815) 968-8550 or fax them
- at (815) 968-6888 in the USA.
-
- 3rd: You will need a power supply and enclosure along with the necessary
- cabling.
-
- Unless your drive is very large and very fast or you have some particular
- emotional attachment to it, you probably will be better off using a SCSI drive
- as it will be faster and cheaper to connect. You may find it very difficult to
- obtain the SCSI to RLL/MFM controller.
