- I'm posting the following message for George Seto:
-
- ------------------------------- cut here ---------------------------------
-
- Does anyone know what sort of mods are going to be needed to get the
- Ajax chips to work with a 520 or 1040 upgraded to the TOS 2.06?
-
- Seems to me it's not just a simple plug in the Ajax to replace the
- 1772 and replace the 720K drive with a 1.44M mechanism.
-
-
- Any ideas on what's needed for this upgrade? Thanks in advance....
-
-
- Please post (email if you want), so that it can be saved for the FAQ
-
- BTW for that FAQ, I have one thing.....
-
- If you want to BOOT from drive B, just set memory location $446 to the
- number 1. It is normally a 0 for drive A. This location does NOT get
- wiped with a push of the RESET button. This was picked up from an old
- UK magazine circa 1989. Don't remember whether it was ST User or ST World.
