  26. this is an old problem: NeoDesk refuses to start if MiNT is active.
  27. Having MiNT 0.94 installed, you could start Neodesk in the following way: 
  28.     - start MiNT in the Auto folder
  29.     - start GEM from MINT.CNF (last line = #INIT= )
  30.     - start mintshel as an AUTO application
  31.     - start Neodesk from mintshel.rc by the last lines:
  32.         cd $NEODESK    # here lives Neodesk
  33.         neodesk.exe    # not neoload.prg !!!

  35. But this does not work with MiNT 0.95 !!!
  36. You have to initialize MiNT, GEM, your environment (by mintshel) and then return
  37. to the normal desktop. Now you will be able to start Neodesk as application.

  39. Strange, but this method forks fine for me...

  41. BTW: I am thinking of replacing Neodesk by GEMINI if no new Neodesk version
  42.      is launched on the atari fair in Duesseldorf as last year...
