- Help.
-
- I seem to have come across a (as far as I know) strange problem. My
- internal floppy drive on my Mega is working perfectly (rpm, dma read, etc.)
- except for the fact that it won't write or delete files. If I try to delete
- something, it does the job and the directory window updates appropriately;
- BUT, if I take the disk out and reinsert it, it shows the file as still being
- present, and unchanged. Nor can I create files.
-
- I presume the generic verdict is that the drive is dying. But perhaps
- somebody has some personal experience or some recommendations of things I
- could try. I'm not adverse to removing the drive and tweaking.
-
- If you can offer any assistance, thank you..

- ps - I did recently install the TOS switch as per the guidelines received
- with TOS 2.06. I don't believe this to be relevant, but you never know.
