- It seems somewhat odd that Modem 2 and up support the high baud rates,
- but not Modem 1. I wonder if Atari was trying to keep some compatibility
- with the old machines that I do not fathom? (i.e. shouldn't Modem 1 and
- Modem 2 act the same way?). I've done transfers of 38,400 baud from my
- MegaSTe to my PC using Connect 1.8i (I would have gone higher, but the baud
- rates listed above 38400 for the PC and ST term programs didn't match).
