- This is simply wrong. The only thing that was crippled was the desktop.
- The AES was even extended. Most people I knew at that time continued to
- use the old desktop in top of the new AES.

- Nowadays, DR has a realtime multitasking OS called Flex/OS with a
- multitasking version of AES on top (X/GEM). So both GEM lines (PC and
- Atari) are still supported.
