- I'd like to request that (successful) MiNT users out there share
- their setups on the net. I think it would be productive sharing of info
- out there, both those, who aren't using something that someone else is
- using, but would like to if he/she knew it was there, and those of us who
- aren't getting it to run as advertised. I personally cannot stay in
- MGR for more than 15 minutes without crashing it and I can't get either
- of my 2 fave editors to work under it, mg and and old Edgar Roegar emacs
- that was on a.a ~ 3 years ago.
-
- A sample format:
-
- Computer setup.
- Auto folder setup:
- Init file contents, rc files, termcap, etc...
- Directory structure of the mint/msg, mw2, gcc whatever (ls -R at
- the top level would be optimal)
- Things you use MiNT, i.e. gcc 1.40, tip, emacs, etc.
- How you typically use it, i.e. running gem from the start,
- WP, with bgacc running a terminal pgm, or MGR from boot up, one coding
- window, one for the compiler, etc..
-
- This also would help users debug their problems as instead if
- Joe can't get gcc to run under MiNT, but Fred can't, with Fred's setup
- as described as above, Joe should be able to duplicate it.
-
- What say MiNT users, dabblers, gurus and gurus in training?
