- This may not be the quick and easy answer you were looking for, and there
- may be better ways of doing it, but here goes.
-
- There is a set of utilities to convert from anything to practically anything
- else called the Portable Bitmap Utilities by Jef Poskanzer at the site
- expo.lcs.mit.edu in the directory `contrib'. There are utilities in there
- top convert from .IMG to pbm and from pbm to postscript (from pnm, actually,
- but the portable formats are upward compatible).
-
- The catch is, the archive only contains a set of generic source files that
- need to be compiled, and will surely need to be tweaked to work on the ST/TT.
-
- Now if some kind soul would be willing to take care of the compilation of this
- mountain of utilities... :-). I might be able to be cajoled inot doing it,
- but that would have to be sometime after I finally get around to download
- gnu C (damn, I'm lazy!).
-
- Irregardless of whether this suggestion is useful for the above problem, these
- utilities would be invaluable (I was amazed that utilities were provided for
- conversion of Degas, .IMG, .GEM (i think), and even Spectrum formats!).
