- Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou, Ben, for this info...I was depressed
- about the fact that mine would not read both sides.. I have an
- RFD series Percom. I don't think it is double sided..from my tests of
- IBM 5 1/4 and 3 1/2 drives.
- Although, I just got though talking to Tom Hunt and his Percom with a
- IBM 360k drive DOES FORMAT ON BOTH SIDES. His has a printer port on
- the back and 2 card edge connectors and is an SPD series.
- Also he told me that IBM drives are very light sensitive and wont
- format if they are out of the case and I tested the 5 1/2" out of the
- case..maybe thats what my trouble was.
- So, if any one has a SPD series Percom for sale, I'm interested;
- else I'll just have to get my hands on an XF551 controller.
