  22. I just tried printing onto single-sheet A4 paper in my ImageWriter II
  23. from AppleWorks GS (Page Layout module) under System 6.  I selected
  24. a paper type of 'European A4 8" x 12"', with vertical condense active.

  26. It works perfectly.  I managed to get text down as far as the bottom
  27. 1/2 inch of paper without any trouble.

  29. I have a possible suggestion: you may have "perforation skip" enabled
  30. on the printer DIP switches.  To turn it off, set SW1-5 to OPEN.

  32. Which version of the system software are you using?  I never tried
  33. printing to A4 paper under System 5.0.4, so they may have improved it
  34. under System 6.

  36. Which ImageWriter driver are you using?  The Claris one
  37. (ImageWriter.CL), or Apple's own?  What version number is displayed
  38. in the Page Setup and Print dialogs?

  43. Not so simple to patch such a big program...  The driver will already
  44. be doing this, according to the paper size selected.
