- Hi all! All this recent talk of the upcoming Woz Edition GS's birthday
- has got me thinking. About what, you say, well, about all the highs and
- the lows that the GS (and us as users) have been through.
-
- I would like all of you to add to this list, kinda like a history of
- our beloved computer.
-
- I'll start off with a few. (Oh, I am currently limiting the list to
- hardware and software, leaving out the people/humans, because if I forget
- someone, I don't want them to be mad at me :-)
-
- Highs:
-
- The birth of the GS (of course), ZipGSX, RamFast, System 6.0, HyperStudio,
- Merlin, Orca/Stuffs, GNO/ME, ProTERM, DreamGrafix, FTA, F.U.C.K., ACS,
- Nucleus, ModulaE, PhotoniX, Rastan, Taskforce, Immortal, HyperCard GS,
- GS Plus Magazine and Disk, SoftDisk GS, SoundSmith, NoiseTracker, All the
- cool MOD players currently being developed, Alien Mind, Shrinkit, Z-modem
- driver, ...
-
- Lows:
-
- TurboREZ, GS/DSP, Sword of Sodan, FTA (R.I.P), SpaceHarrier Demo (I want the
- real thing!), No Rom 4 (thanks a lot Sculley!), Applied Ingenuity (AI had
- the coolest ads!), Massive bailout of the major software publishers (like
- EA, Origin, Sierra, BroderBund...), AE's 900 Number, ...
-
- Please send me e-mail (or post) if you think of anymore, I am sure I missed
- a lot (give me a break, it's 3:32 AM!)
-
- Thanks!
-
- Jimmy
