  18. me very mad at YOU, and even legally in trouble, if I am bothered any

  21. I'll repost what I sent a person in mail, and have formally requested that
  22. scott cancel this post.  If he does not cancel his post, I will speak
  23. to site administrators, then higher up, but I hope that won't be neccessary.

  25. To sum up, my OBSERVATIONS on the II line are such:

  31. No sources, really, just some observations:
  32. 1) Apple has laid off or moved to other projects all the Apple II people
  33. where they are no longer officially Apple II project people.
  34. 2) The IIe and IIgs are not on the upcoming educational price list -
  35. neither are any 68000-based Macs (Classic, PB100,).  Futhermore, upcoming
  36. Mac system software will not support the 68000's.
  37. 3) Apple is now MORE than encouraging Schools, etc, to move to the Mac,
  38.    and discouraging Apple II purchases.
  39. 4) A call to Apple for info on our single IIgs left at the university to
  40.    ask a floppy drive configuration problem (Duo Disk, SCSI disk, and
  41.    2 daisychained 800k disks don't all like each other) recommended that
  42.    we seek local, independent help, and didn't offer any, as they had in
  43.    years past.

  45. All of these observations, and rumour in MacWeek, schools, etc, lead me
  46. to believe that the IIgs and the IIe are slated for the cutting block
  47. this fall.  The market has been induced away.
