- OK, well, there are several ways to run Integer BASIC on a GS, some more
- bizzare than others.
-
- The simplest way to do it is to use your 5.25" disk and run the old DOS 3.3
- system master.
- Next, there is a file I've seen floating around that is pseudo-Integer
- BASIC. I had that in my pirating days, and I killed it off with the rest,
- so I don't know if it was/is freeware or something (I didn't know about
- freeware then). Unfortunately, I think that that still might be DOS 3.3
- only.
- Now, I think that you can get DOS 3.3 on a 3.5" disk in several ways. One
- is some program by Glen Bredon that is supposed to let you put DOS 3.3
- images on ProDOS volumes. I have never seen this program, but it might
- work.
- There are other programs that can do the DOS 3.3-> 3.5" thing, but I am
- less convinced that they would work with Integer basic, although I guess
- that they would.
-
- Finally, you can get ORCA/Integer BASIC. It's a GS-specific compiler for
- ORCA. If you do use it, beware: programs that use ML may not work
- correctly. So that's probably only an option if you use BASIC only
- programs. (no Hi-res)
-
- I think that that's a somewhat complete summary. Anyone have anything else
- to add that I missed?
