- Starting with 6.0, there is a way for NDAs (or whatever) to inform the
- Finder that there was a change to a particular folder. (The EasyMount
- Finder extension in 6.0 uses that when you create a new server alias.)

- It would be nicer if the Finder noticed changes automatically. There's
- a "volume changed" notification mechanism in GS/OS, but making it work
- well for the Finder's purposes is tricky (you can get lots of extra
- window refreshes caused by the Finder itself making a change, and then
- being told about it).
