- I can do even better than that. The ROM 03 board living in my signature edition
- now is the eighth board that has been in it. I went through six boards in the
- first six months. Problems like no screen border at the top, nonfunctioning
- serial ports, and bleedy 80 column text and pink double hires. I even had this
- one that would show "Apple IIgs" backwards in the corner of the screen when it
- was turned on. Board six lasted four years though, then got a glitch in the
- RGB video output that caused the screen to flicker. I got board 7 from this
- place for $50, and it was in until I got board 8, the ROM 03. 7 lives in a //e
- case now and does backup duty, and six is in a box on the shelf.
