- What I wouldn't mind seeing is a clearing house that would accept
- shareware payments, and pass the money on to the author regardless of
- which country the money is going to.

- It's a real pain for me to send shareware payments to anyone outside of
- Canada, since most authors want payment in a form they can esily handle,
- and a cheque from a bank in Canada isn't that easy for someone in
- Australia to handle :-(

- It would be real easy for both the user and the author if I could
- obtain a program from my usual online service/user group/whatever, try
- it for a while, and then pick up the phone and use my credit card to pay
- for it. The clearing house would take the program name, the author's
- name, and my credit card info; pay the author the shareware fee, and
- charge the fee and a service charge to my credit card.

- The clearing house could also handle mailing out of the latest version
- of a program, or simply pass the customer's name and address back to the
- author for further support.
