  13. With the release of new software, including Maple, the Amiga now has all the
  14. software (worthwhile of course) that IBMs and Macs have, EXCEPT an mathematical
  15. equation editor!  There is TeX, but that is too slow/large/bulky for most
  16. people.  I would like to know if anyone is planning on, working on, or has
  17. released any such program.  The features that I would like to see are:
  18. -Save as IFF brush (importing into WP or DTP)
  19. -Graphical interface
  20.     use scalable fonts for symbols and variables.
  21.     buttons for 'intergration creation','summation cr.', etc...
  22. -Ablilty to read in FORTRAN/C equation line, and translate to symbols...ie
  23.     `x=INT(y^2+SIN(y),y,0,5)' would give output as x equalling the
  24.     integral of y^*sin(y), from y=0 to y=5.

  26. WordPerfect 5+ (on IBM) has this feature.  There is a Mac program that 
  27. does this as well (shipped with Mathematica?).  But for the math/science/
  28. engineering student, there is nothing for the Amiga.  This type of program is
  29. definitely needed
