- A friend is surveying the market for a pair of editing S-VHS VCRS, and has
- noted the attractive price and unique features of the Sony R5 units. The
- alternative is the AG1960 from Panasonic, priced 40% higher, and not
- equipped with the dual PIP feature. Can anyone using either the R5 or the
- Ag1960 give us a few things to consider that we may have missed. One
- dealer told us that the Panasonics have pre-roll built in. Wonder if
- that's the same as Sony's sync edit? Image quality is not an issue, as the
- Sony and Pans are virtually identical. Thanks in advance.
