- Let's be reasonable here. If you are unfamilliar with NT, fine, but it looks
- as though it will finally emcompass most of the things that have made Amiga
- users proud and/or arrogant for the last several years. Unfortunately (or
- fortunately, for us multi-platform people) it goes beyond that in terms
- of security, networking, and memory protection.
-
- I'd love to see NT eventually make it to the Amiga, but that would happen
- only long after the Mac, which will be some time after the MIPS.
-
- Although Bill Gates claimed he would develop for any operating system with
- 1000000 installed systems (well, I heard he claimed that, so sue me), now
- that the Amiga has better than three times that I still don't even see
- something as basic as Works. I guess there's always MS-BASIC :-)
-
- Let's face it, it would be impossible to port AmigaDOS to PC-Compatible
- hardware, so maybe if we're luck Windows NT will someday make it to
- Amiga hardware. But don't hold your breath.
