- BEFORE some imbecile comes up and screams about how CBM is going down the tubes
- because of an unexpected 4th qtr loss, I am going to post some of the comments
- made in the WSJ article which commented on the loss.
-
- "Commodore . . . sells the majority of its consumer oriented computers in
- Europe, making its dollar-stated results notoriously hard to predict."
-
- "Analysts agreed that Commodore could rebound, citing good potential for new
- models of its Amiga personal computer, as well as some novel handheld
- products."
-
- "This is certainly a huge disappointment, but it isn't the end of the world for
- Commodore," [according to Ronald Opel at Fechtor, Detwiler & Co.]
-
- "`There's a lot more upside to the stock than there is downside. It's just
- smart to wait and see whether the momentum can snap back.'"[according to Steve
- Eskenazi of Alexander Brown & Sons Inc.]
-
- So B E F O R E people start screaming about how the sky is falling and CBM is
- going to go bankrupt in two weeks, I am posting this in the vain hope that
- someone will actually read it, and not post another "CBM is Dying" msg.
