  11. Ok, I have a GVP Series II 030/22 with 5 megs of ram (1 meg surface,
  12. 1 4 meg 32-bit simm) in a 2000 with 2.04.  all of the memory on the
  13. board cannot be used as autoconfig (I would have to buy 4 more megs of memory
  14. for that, so I might as well buy a hard drive and then I wouldn't need a
  15. stinking RAD: would I :)  NOTE:  A G-Force 030 board CAN use this as
  16. autoconfig, the Series II cannot.
  17. This causes a little problem with the RAD: drive; it doesn't recover (so
  18. whats the point, eh?)  This seems to be from the fact that the expanded
  19. memory list is not maintained on warm boot so the OS doesn't know where
  20. the rad: was.  GVP was kind enough to tell me that I need autoconfig
  21. memory and that I just need to get some more memory (thanks guys!) which,
  22. of course, only they make.  So, is there anyway to get the RAD: drive to
  23. mount in the 512k of autoconfig fast ram that my 2000 came with?  And there
  24. by hopefully allowing it to recover?

  27. and please note that any comments which appear to have an bit of malice
  28. behind them are due to the fact that I just read though that stupid
  29. thread on the falcon that is totaly misplaced in comp.sys.amiga.misc.  It
  30. was just so stupid I couldn't manage to tear myself away and in the process
  31. just generally pissed myself off more.  I really gotta learn some self
  32. control and quit out of that kinda stuff! :)
