- Back when I bought my first VCR, I didn't know of any other owners either.
- (Heck, it also took a while before I heard of anyone else owning an Amiga.)
- It's funny you should mention this, since in the past few days I've run into
- several CD-I owners. But if they hadn't brought it up, I'd never have known.

- Seems rather obvious that they're mainly waiting for FMV. Btw, Sony and
- Kyocera began a joint venture renting CD-I players in Japan back in April.
- Sony also makes a color LCD handheld player; available now on special order.

- Unfortunately, that really hasn't happened yet. Perhaps it will if the A500
- drive addon takes off in sales. But lots of quickie software wouldn't make
- CDTV into competition for CD-I, anyway. It would take multiple sourcing,
- multiple player models from companies with decent reputations, and lots
- more willingness to make longterm investments on the part of Commodore.
-
- Has this become a .advocacy thread yet? Default followups there if so.
