- The byte article by Pournelle (in the sept issue) was about the A3000T,
- which Jerry liked. He told everyone to go out and buy one (well, more or
- less). Although he did have a few silly things to say about the 2000
- (he doesn't seem to realise that 2.0 runs on anything but a 3000T) , and
- although the (evil) byte editors chose to
- make a text standout out of the *only* negative thing he said (about the
- tape backup program), it was by and large an accurate, fair, even
- positive article. Commodore also had an ad in Byte, in an expensive (I
- presume) position p 31, in microbytes. Lets hope they continue that
- policy.

- p.s. speaking of Pournelle, I just read a boot called "Fallen Angel" by
- him, Niven, and someone else. It was garbage, utter garbage. Some of
- their other collaborations have been very good. This one is not. It's
- an embarrassment. Blech. I felt dirty after reading it.
