  18. I understand that and was attempting to get us A2000 and A3000 users into
  19. the CDROM picture.  It's amazing technology with barely scratched potential
  20. and it's expensive enough that it seems most useful for systems that are
  21. not entry level machines as many A500s are.  I know that I can add a SCSI
  22. CDROM drive to my A3000 and it will work just fine.  It will not run the
  23. CDROM disks that require CDXL, such as NASA's 25 Years.  There needs to be
  24. a solution to this problem as partial compatibility with a standard device,
  25. such as CDTV, is a royal pain in the rear that will inhibit CDROM usage on
  26. the A2000/3000 computers.  I think that CDTV softwar edevelopment will
  27. suffer unless lots of Amiga users can be convinced to add CDROM drives to
  28. their machines, buy software, and inject enough cash into CDROM software
  29. development to drive that business.  Any idea whether CBM has interest in
  30. licensing the CDXL technology?  That would help end a lot of the problems
  31. associated with CDROM disks that require CDXL to operate correctly or at
  32. all for that matter.  Thanks for the reply,
