  39. Your cable sounds fine to me.  If you want to check, the connections necessary are:
  40. pin 7 to pin 7
  41. pin 2 to pin 3
  42. pin 3 to pin 2
  43.  
  44. If you manage to get the cable working, try playing Stunt Car Racer or Populous
  45. or one of the many other games which can use a null-modem connection.
