  26. Could be;  on the other hand, the reason personally I probably didn't respond
  27. to your question is that I've never tried to connect a Bernoulli to anything.

  33. Some removable drives don't respond to SCSI commands (like INQUIRY) 
  34. unless they have their cart. installed.  scsi.device probably needs
  35. a timeout there;  on the other hand, once scsi.device has scanned past
  36. that device there's no going back without rebooting.

  41. scsi.device scans from scsi units 0 to 6.  The system boots from
  42. the highest priority device/partition of those devices than answer
  43. the scan, and that are bootable.

  45. The closest I've come to your setup is a Syquest.  It required a
  46. cart. inserted before the system would boot, but otherwise let me use
  47. the system with no problems.
