- to your question is that I've never tried to connect a Bernoulli to anything.

- Some removable drives don't respond to SCSI commands (like INQUIRY)
- unless they have their cart. installed. scsi.device probably needs
- a timeout there; on the other hand, once scsi.device has scanned past
- that device there's no going back without rebooting.

- scsi.device scans from scsi units 0 to 6. The system boots from
- the highest priority device/partition of those devices than answer
- the scan, and that are bootable.

- The closest I've come to your setup is a Syquest. It required a
- cart. inserted before the system would boot, but otherwise let me use
- the system with no problems.
