- I don't know about the Iomega, but I had similar problems with a Xetec
- CD-ROM drive (and my tape drive, I think.) Here's what I remember.
- HDToolbox likes to notice what devices are on the SCSI bus and add them
- to the Rigid Disk Blocks on the drive(s).

- When you boot, the system likes to check all the drives that HDToolbox
- said were there, waiting for a *long* time to see if they'll come ready.
- Presumably this is so that it can make sure the system is booted from
- the highest priority partition available. The wait seems to time out
- eventually though.

- The only solution I found was to *never* run HDToolbox when any of these
- "other" devices is powered up. I don't know if you'll be able to do
- that with your Iomega.
