- I have a question to pose that may be a FAQ - but I haven't seen any
- references to it for awhile... If it is, I apologize...
-
- Anyway, when I change the default fonts, overscan mode, etc. with
- preferences in WB2.05, I get the standard requester:
- "To reset Workbench Screen, Please close all windows, except drawers".
- when I boot up...the message disappears after booting has been
- completed (which makes sense since the window the bootup messages are
- displayed in is killed then, satisfying the requester happily...).
-
- I understand why the requester isn't satisfied until booting has been
- completed, but I am wondering if there is some way to disable the
- requester. I want to be able to change some of the system defaults,
- but at the same time, the requester makes the boot sequence seem so
- "unprofessional"...
-
- If anyone can offer any advice, I'd love to hear about it. PLEASE,
- address all replies to dcharroi@sol.drao.nrc.ca.. If you just reply
- to this message, there is a fairly good chance I won't be able to tell
- where it
- came from...
-
- Thanks a lot....Dan
