- Well, for the first time (in 7 yfears!) I have a hardware problem. I
- have an A1000 with a Phoenix expansion chassis on it. In the Phoenix, I
- have a dataflyer SCSI interface, and plugged onto the bus extender of the
- Phoenix I have a Minimegs 2 meg memory expansion.
-
- This arrangement has worked perfectly from the very first.
-
- In my zeal to never leave good enough alone, I bought an A2052 2 meg
- card, and pulled the Minimegs off the bus extender. With the memory card
- in the expansion chassis, the system won't boot - in fact, the screen
- won't even light up.
-
- With the memory card alone in the expansion chassis, the system boots and
- sees the memory... it even let me put the Minimegs on the bus extender,
- and for a little while, I had nearly 5 megs of memory on my little A1000!
-
- Any ideas anyone? Does anyone else out there have/use a Phoenix card
- cage?
-
- (BTW, I have grounded my PALs)
